Painting Pianos

Ok. So. I've recently found this cute little idea in my head. I think it would be AWESOME to paint my piano!!! Talk about adding some character into a home, this is it!!

Now, I realize, that this idea isn't everyone's cup of tea, but it's mine. So let's be friendly about this.


And don't worry... I'm not going to do something ugly like this one...

But look!! Look at how adorable these are!! I know I'm a green girl but these turquoise pianos are hitting the right note!! (pun intended - aren't I clever)



And yet, I still can't completely disregard my signature color. Whoever did this piano, had it right.



I'm not saying that I am going to do it .....husband..... but I would love to. Really.

Good thing I have a husband that keeps me grounded.
and i do love that man,
but he needs to let me win this argument.

and my favorite color,

LIME GREEN.

So, i thought to myself,
why not put them together and put it on
my favorite 7 month old.

so i did.

Ruffly Leaf T-Shirt

i made myself a t-shirt.

it was easy, fast, and i got the idea from here.

hers was for fall, but i wanted mine to be spring-y.

Newest Item for my Shop!

So.. I have crafting ADD. It's hard to start a project and then finish it, because usually, in the middle of my project, I think of something else awesome to try and then I get excited about that and stop making what i'm making.

So... I've added some new items to my shop, because I'm bored with poufs.

They're duffle bags. and I LOVE them!! Really! I'm tempted to keep them all to myself!!!!

Even Max loves them. He's such a good boy.

I've only made three so far, and only have pictures of two of them completed... but I've got the fabric cut out for about 8 more. It's all just sitting there waiting for me to find the time to sew them. Which, really isn't that bad. It takes me about 3 hours from start to finish! Not that difficult!!


I like them, and let me tell you.. I WILL be traveling in style this weekend.

Two Years Ago...

Two years ago today...

i woke up.
put on some sweats,
and got my hair done.

then, i came home
and put on my makeup.

i put on a gorgeous white dress,

some gorgeous jewelry
(compliments of my mom)

and put on the perfect pair of shoes.

kyle woke up across town,
put on a white shirt.

put on some pink socks,

a pink tie,

a black suit,

and a pink boutonniere.

then we got married
for time and all eternity.

and then,
we rode off into the sunset.

I know things aren't always perfect,
and we have our moments,
but I love you.

And I can't imagine going through all the things
we go through, and will go through,
with anyone else.
