Well hello there!! I'm really excited about this tutorial! Mostly because I've been planning for it for like ever.. it was just a matter of finding the right wrapping paper, which I finally found, and a matter of finding the time.... but ever since Maila has been on the mend, time has been on my side!! She naps like an angel and even sleeps through the night!! *swoon*
Here's what you need to make your own:
First thing you want to do if there's any white in your paper is spray paint your diaper box white. You only need on coat of spray paint and it doesn't have to hide everything perfectly. Just enough for the pattern on the diaper box to not show through the white of your paper.
Don't worry about spray painting the bottoms. I don't because I'll never look at them so it won't bother me. You can if you want :)
The second step is measuring out your pieces of paper. You want to be sure that there's an overlap with your paper. Don't make it the exact size of your box. Now, I forgot to take a picture of this because I'm stupid, but it's pretty easy. Just like you would when wrapping a present, unroll your wrapping paper and cut out the pieces that you need!! Easy peasy!
When your spray paint is dry, bring your box inside and let's get to work. Take your modge podge, and starting with the smallest ends...
Put a healthy coating of modge podge all over that bad boy and then carefully lay your piece of paper on top. Smooth out with your hands, or a spatula or something to get rid of air bubbles...
Now, let's take care of where the paper is too big. Let's start with the sides... Put another healthy layer of modge podge and then fold over. Smooth out the air bubbles... Repeat for both sides.
Now. let's do the bottom... Another healthy coat of modge podge, and then fold the sides down first, and then the bottom. Make sense? Here's it in pictures...
Put another layer of Modge Podge over the top and wait for it to dry to make sure that it's sealed.
Repeat this process for the inside of the box, like so...
When both of your smaller ends are done, it should look like this.
Obviously, I was awesome at removing the air bubbles.
Repeat that whole process for the long side of your boxes.
Now, you could leave it like this... or you could get super fancy and paint it...
I only painted one side in case I didn't like it... and truthfully?? I'm not crazy about it. But maybe I'll swing it around for Valentines Day or something...
I love them. They are perfect in my room. Good for the storage... plus they're pretty.
Win.

Monthly Videos
I mentioned somewhere back in January that I had set up a new goal for myself this year...(and hopefully the years to come).
The goal was to take more pictures, (if that's even possible) and more videos. Then after taking a plethora of yummy videos, to make a movie of all the videos I took that month. I've been doing good so far. I did January.... and February... and just finished March!!
Granted, I'm only 3 months in, but I already am wishing I'd been doing this since Kyle and I got married. I mean seriously, how fun would it be to have a movie from each month that had some of the highlights of that month?? It'd be awesome...
If you want to see some of the things my family was up to in March... click here...
Oh... and it's not too late for you to start doing this! What a great way to preserve your families history!!
P.S. NEW tutorial going up on Monday... like I said before - super easy, and SUPER cute. Totes adorbs. Seriously. (do people say that?? nooooo....)

New Tutorial...
I've got a project that I'm SUPER STOKED about. You don't even realize. I've had the stuff for this for like 8 months.
Ok. Not really 8 months, but I've been looking and preparing for this for a long time and I finally did it today! LOVE!!
I'll be posting it in the next couple days, but just know.... it's AWESOME.
Oh, and it's easy. And cheap. Which is a pretty great combination.
Stay tuned :)

Painted Nightstands!
Maila has been recently put on medication to treat a bunch of infections... kidney, bladder, and recurring UTI's... We FINALLY figured out why she's been such a diva!!! She's been in excruciating pain! But after running all these tests, and starting her medication, it's like I have a brand new baby!! She's happy, she eats, she sleeps, it almost makes me weep with joy. And NOT for my sake! But for the sake of my darling baby who is FINALLY feeling better, maybe even normal for the first time since she was born!! It's been such a change in my home.
With that said, my darling daughter has finally fallen into a routine... she naps, AND sleeps all night. Well, at least she's done that for the last two nights in a row!! It's amazing. That gives me some much needed time to let out my creative monster...
This is what I tackled yesterday...

This is what I tackled yesterday...
Here's how you do it....
Take your nightstand outside, take it apart, and begin painting.... start from the inside and work your way out..
I should note, this nightstand was a laminate cover... I'm pretty sure. Now, I read all over the internet that you need to prime laminate furniture before you paint it or the paint won't stick, but I didn't experience that problem... I sanded it down pretty good and gave it two good thick coats. The first with a normal good quality paintbrush, and the second with a good quality roller so there wouldn't be any streaks from a paint brush.
After letting your paint dry...flip your nightstand or table or whatever over and paint the legs. Two thick coats again.. Make sure the paint dries completely in between coats.
And that's it. Wait for the paint to dry, and then reassemble your nightstand and enjoy your hard work!!
It looks AWESOME in my master bedroom!! Excited to finish up some other projects so I can show you how good that room looks!!
I love it.

Happy Easter!!
With all that has been going on lately, it is a sweet reminder that Christ does indeed Live. Oh, how He loves me, too. So grateful for my Savior, and for my sweet family.
How great Thou art.

Canvas Makeover!!!
Remember when I gave you a tour of my master bedroom?? Well... do you remember when I told you that I had plans to makeover this picture...
I finally did it. I FINALLY figured out exactly what I wanted and believe it or not, Maila actually helped me out with this idea.
Before:
And the remarkable AFTER!! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!
The colors aren't quite as neon as they're showing up in the picture, but I love it all the same. And probably would love it still even if it were neon.
It prompted me to re-decorate my kitchen AGAIN...
I even finally got CURTAINS! *swoon* I'll show you those later though... I'm just so excited about my new artwork!! I need the constant daily reminder, in fact, I think everybody needs a constant reminder.
The picture also came in this AWESOME huge ornate frame...but it was gold. Bleh. NOT my style. So I refinished that in a High Gloss White. LOVE.
I REALLY love it.
So easy. You should try it.
